Our History
The C.P. & Berar
Education Society, founded in pre-independence days i.e. 1930, in fact
represents the dreams & aspirations of Late G. S. Gokhale and Late M. N.
Kagbhat. These two were then young and inspired teachers, who instead of
serving the British Government, nurtured a dream of setting up a model school
and thereby served the society. The Central Provinces & Berar Education
society, which is one of the premier prestigious institutions in Nagpur
&Vidarbha, has completed 85 years of its fruitful existence. The C.P. &
Berar E.S. College was established in 1960. During the last 64 years it has
rendered glorious service to the entire Vidarbha region by catering to the
educational needs of not only local students but students from surrounding
rural areas as well.

About Institutions
C.P. & Berar E.S. College was established in 1960. It has provided magnificent service to the entire Vidarbha region over the past 65 years by meeting the educational needs of the students in local and nearby rural areas. It is one of the oldest and reputed colleges in Nagpur. It is located right in the heart of the traditional Nagpur i.e. Tulsibagh, Mahal. The college has two faculties – Arts and Commerce. The college offers under-graduate and post-graduate courses in both the streams. The college also runs Std XI & Std XII in Arts and Commerce streams as a part of Junior College. The college is affiliated to R.T.M. Nagpur University, Nagpur. It is also recognized as a ‘Place for Higher Learning and Research’ by RTM Nagpur University, Nagpur for the Ph.D. scholars..
About the Department
The Department of Business Management, C. P.& Berar E. S. College was established in the year 1998 with due approval of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Mumbai. The department is affiliated to Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University (RTMNU), Nagpur. It offers two years full-time Master in Business Administration (MBA) program. The first batch of MBA got admitted in the year 1998 and passed out in the year 2000. Since then, every year a steady stream of bright management post graduates passes out of the institute to serve business and industry. It is located at Ravi Nagar, which is a prime location in Nagpur city.

It is indeed a matter of pride that our management program, affiliated to R.TM. Nagpur University has a legacy of twenty six years to be precise, established in 1998. In these years we have reached the pinnacle in Management education. Though, ‘to educate masses’ is our aim we are proud to mention here that a large number of competent Post Graduates from our institutions, have entered the corporate world. Today they are occupying key positions in Government, Public as well as private sector undertakings.
